Medical plant ekor kucing is a native plant of the West Indies. Generally, planted as an ornamental plant in the yard or in the park. Shrub, growing upright, height 1-3 m. Stem round, branching simpodial, surface rough, greenish brown. Single leaf, long-stemmed, alternative locations. Leaves oval or rectangular shape, pointed tip, base obtuse, serrated edges, bone pinnate, 12-20 cm, 6-16 cm wide, light green.single flowers on the tree. Female flowers in the wreath-shaped granules gathered out of the armpit leaves, long round shape hanging down, 1 to 1.5 cm, 20-50 cm, red. Fruit round, small, hairy, dark green. Seed round, small, dirty white.
